Citroen doubles orders for electric vehicles

In the first half of 2026 Citroen confirms a positive trend, maintaining a good commercial pace globally. Worldwide sales stand at 373,700 units, with an increase of 4.4% compared to the same period last year. Supporting the numbers is especially Europe, which remains a true strategic engine: overall growth reaches 8% and the brand’s market share is positioned at 3.4%, a value 0.1 points higher than in 2025.

Citroen doubles orders for EVs

In this context, electrification accelerates significantly: orders for electric vehicles increase by 98% in the semester, now accounting for one third of the company’s total orders. Italy also contributes strongly: Citroen’s share stands at 3.8%, thus improving by 0.4 points compared to the European average, with volumes growing by 2.2% over 2025 and confirming itself as the second most important country for the brand.

C3 continues to lead

Looking at the models, C3 stands out for its performance in key markets, ranking first in the B segment in Italy and Portugal, and second in the B-Hatch BEV segment in France and Spain. The new SUV C5 Aircross records a significant boost in orders (+47% compared to the previous year) and growing registration results in France (+7%), Spain (+10%) and Portugal (+80%). Berlingo remains a benchmark: registrations rise (+10% in France and +3% in Spain), with prominent positions (top 3 in France and Portugal, top 2 in Italy) and a first place in the C-Van segment in Spain.
