Collapses explainable only with a devastating BOP

“Obviously finishing 12th and 16th is not what we expected, unfortunately – said team principal and driver Kamui Kobayashi, 12th with the #7 – I think I did a decent lap, I couldn’t do more. We need to find something in terms of strategy and setup, the race will be long and we will do our best.”
“It was a difficult day for us – said Brendon Hartley, 16th with the #8 – I couldn’t do a good first lap, the car was a bit difficult to manage, we couldn’t get the setup right. We focused mainly on the race setup, we hope to climb back up the standings and score some points.”
