WEC World Championship, Ferrari believes
The first victory of Ferrari in the 2026 WEC World Championship took some time to arrive, but it reignited enthusiasm around a championship finale that now promises to be scorching. The reigning Endurance champions found their smile again at COTA in Austin: after the unfortunate incident that eliminated the 499P #51 from the fight for victory, Ferrari cashed in by taking advantage of Toyota’s technical knockout and winning unexpectedly.

The victory in Texas reopens world championship scenarios that seemed difficult to achieve. In the Drivers’ World Championship, #51 and #50 are respectively at -17 and -21 from BMW’s Rast and Frijns, while Ferrari is third in the Constructors’ Championship, at -26 from Toyota. And, with three races remaining in the championship, Antonello Coletta launches the sprint.

The Endurance World Championship will resume on September 25-27 with the 6 Hours of Fuji, before the grand European finale scheduled between Barcelona (October 16-18) and Monza (November 6-8).
