Hyundai presents the new IONIQ 3, a compact two-volume hatchback designed in Europe with the aim of making electric mobility more intuitive, comfortable, and truly suitable for the daily lives of European motorists. Hyundai IONIQ 3
What distinguishes IONIQ 3 is the new “Aero Hatch” silhouette, characterized by personality and aerodynamic performance. The low front blends into a roofline that decisively crosses the cabin, then integrates towards the rear with the ducktail-style spoiler. We are looking at an architecture designed to maximize aerodynamic efficiency without sacrificing generous interior volume. The silhouette also contributes to achieving an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.263, a value at the top of its category.
Aerodynamic efficiency
The exterior style sees the debut of Hyundai’s “Art of Steel” language, which gives the model a decisive presence, completed by the Parametric Pixel light signature typical of the IONIQ range. Reinforcing the design’s character are also four central light points that recall the letter “H” in Morse code, making the car immediately recognizable. In terms of platform, IONIQ 3 is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform with a 400 Volt architecture, offering a balanced combination of practicality, efficiency, and dynamics.

Two battery sizes
For range and charging, IONIQ 3 offers two battery sizes: up to 344 km (WLTP) for the Standard Range version and up to 496 km for the Long Range version, placing it at the top of its category. DC fast charging allows going from 10 to 80% in about 29 minutes, while AC charging up to 22 kW allows utilizing available AC charging stations.
Interior and trunk
The cabin offers spaciousness typical of a higher segment thanks to the flat floor and a wheelbase of 2.68 meters, with capacity for 5 occupants, interiors inspired by the “Furnished Space” concept, and a 441-liter trunk with the innovative Megabox. Finally, the Pleos Connect infotainment system based on Android Automotive OS (AAOS), with a display up to 14.6″, is complemented by standard Hyundai SmartSense ADAS systems (including Level 2 autonomous driving) and features such as HDA2, RSPA, and Blind-Spot View Monitor.
