Drivers and Teams Standings after the 2026 Canary Islands Rally

The Canary Islands Rally was closing almost perfectly for Toyota, with its drivers almost always present in the top five positions in all stages. A consistent top-5 spoiled in SS17, the penultimate stage of the Spanish rally, during which Oliver Solberg’s error was recorded and which ‘facilitated’ the final success of Sébastien Ogier. The Swede, who at that moment was in second place in the overall standings, allowed Elfyn Evans to finish in second place ahead of Pajari and Katsuta, with the latter losing the world championship lead precisely to the Welshman, now two points ahead of the Japanese driver. A rally that saw Hyundai in evident difficulty, now almost 100 points behind in the Constructors’ standings.
