All records in one weekend
Unbeatable: it can be summed up in one word, at least until now, Nicolò Bulega. Winner of all the races held since the beginning of this season, the undisputed leader of the championship set new records in the history of Superbike during the Balaton Park weekend. With the victory in Race 1, #11 surpassed the record of consecutive wins he shared with Toprak Razgatlioglu, reaching 14. As if that were not enough, this record rose to 16 with the subsequent wins in the Superpole Race and Race 2.

In addition, with four consecutive triples since the start of the season (equivalent to 12 wins), Bulega became the first rider to reach such a milestone, surpassing his former teammate Alvaro Bautista. In the next Round at Most, in the Czech Republic, Bulega could set another absolute record, still matched in Hungary: together with Razgatlioglu and Colin Edwards, he is the rider with the highest number of consecutive podiums in Superbike, with 25 consecutive top 3 finishes.

A memorable weekend for Bulega, who commented on his achievements: “Another fantastic weekend that makes me very happy. It’s no secret that this is the track least suited to my riding style. In Hungary Bulega managed to shine again, but not only that. The Aruba.it-Ducati team also achieved the best result once again with the 2nd place of Iker Lecuona, who gave the team the ninth consecutive double, that is since the Portimão Round: “I am happy with these results, which contributed to another extraordinary weekend for the team. Could we have done more? Yes, of course. Physically I was not 100% due to the stomach problem I had on Thursday, but the feeling grew session after session and this gives me great confidence.”
