In April, BYD in Italy further strengthens its presence in the market. In fact, 4,573 registrations were recorded, equal to +171.9% compared to April 2025. The positive trend continues in the first four months of the year, when the brand reaches 17,421 registrations, with a growth of +208%. The market share in April is close to 3%, while the annual cumulative also remains at comparable levels. This positioning allows BYD to enter the top 15 of the total market.

BYD grows between electric and PHEV
The leadership of the Chinese tech company in the electrified sector, which includes electric and plug-in hybrid, is particularly marked, with a leap that brings the share to 16.9%. In this context, the leadership in the PHEV segment stands out: 3,580 registrations and a share of 26.2%, with an increase of +200% compared to 2025. Electric also achieves significant results, with the company entering the top 3 in the BEV segment and a share of 7.5%, thanks to +37.6% compared to March 2026 and +105% year-on-year.

Good in Italy, but also in Europe
On the product front, ATTO 2 DM-i continues its vertical growth, with about 1,500 registrations in the month and orders steadily increasing. In the ranking of plug-in hybrids in April, SEAL U DM-i and ATTO 2 DM-i confirm themselves among the protagonists, occupying first and second place respectively. DOLPHIN SURF continues to grow and reaches the top 3 of the BEV market in April, consolidating its presence in the Italian market. Looking abroad, the company records excellent performances in Germany, Spain, France, and Austria. Finally, the premium brand DENZA has started its journey with the international presentation in Paris and the opening of the first dealers in Italy scheduled for May.
