Bad oversight at Red Bull
Red Bull has accepted the disqualification of Isack Hadjar’s RB22 at the end of the Miami GP Qualifying, where the French driver finished in ninth position. On Hajdar’s car, in fact, a part of the floor exceeded the technical regulations by 2 millimeters.

Usually, when a car is irregular, it is automatic to wonder if the twin was as well, but Max Verstappen kept the front row since his RB22 passed the technical checks.
Team principal Laurent Mekies explained that it was a human error: “We made a mistake on Isack’s car – said the Red Bull pit wall chief reached by planetf1.com – the car was found to be two millimeters too wide. We should have identified it earlier during our routine checks. We didn’t, and it’s a serious mistake, but it’s easy to fix. Hajdar and Verstappen had the same specifications.”

According to what Mekies added, Red Bull has solved 3 of the 5 issues affecting the RB22, so there is still – as for everyone – room for improvement for a team that in Miami has returned to breathe the air of the top ranks with Max Verstappen.
