Getting closer and closer
The months pass, and with them the long-awaited return of McLaren to the WEC, scheduled for 2027, draws ever closer. In recent days, the Woking team announced the signing of its first driver, Mikkel Jensen, while in the last few hours collective curiosity has increased regarding another more technical aspect, this time related to the engine of the LMDH prototype.

The sound
Just as happened with other Formula 1 teams, which had started the engines of their respective single-seaters even before presenting the liveries to the general public, McLaren has also published on its official social channels the fire-up of its V6 Twin-Turbo, built and supplied by the Italian company ATM (Autotecnica Motori, ed.).

The purpose-built McLaren V6 twin turbo-charged engine is completing long-runs on the dyno, having finished the initial test phase and its first laps of Le Mans.
