The withdrawal from WEC after just three seasons is a consequence of a rethinking of the brand’s presence in motorsport, which also involved the closure of the Viry-Chatillon site, where the power units for Formula 1 were built. Dissatisfaction from top management regarding the team’s performance has clearly emerged, yet sporting results were improving: after a complex start, at Fuji Alpine managed to achieve a podium in 2024 and a victory in 2025; in the last championship, the A424 brought home three podiums.

“While we regret not continuing in WEC after this season, focusing on F1 allows us to increase the brand’s strength in line with our goals“.
