Everyone hunting for Marc Marquez
The 2026 World Championship will begin at the Buriram circuit in Thailand where a year ago Marc Marquez began the triumphal ride crowned by winning his ninth world title at Motegi in Japan with five races to spare.
The Ducati rider is the man to beat and the Borgo Panigale manufacturer has shown a significant step forward in performance between the GP25 that troubled Francesco Bagnaia and the GP26 that will also be available to Alex Marquez, second behind his brother in 2025.
Marco Bezzecchi and Aprilia are candidates as the primary alternative to Ducati’s dominance, Acosta hopes for a KTM capable of allowing him some highlights, and the growth of Honda, which is progressively gaining ground, will be worth following. Toprak Razgatlioglu’s MotoGP debut, however, does not seem to start with the best omens in light of the difficulties Yamaha is facing, which in 2026 starts from scratch with the V4 engine in the final year of the current technical regulatory cycle.
The event will be broadcast live in its entirety on Sky Sport MotoGP, on TV8 the Qualifying for the three classes and the MotoGP Sprint will also be broadcast live on free-to-air TV, while on Sunday the races will be broadcast delayed starting from 11:05 with the Sprint replay at 09:45.
