A day of testing after the big scare

Good morning dear readers of FormulaPassion.it and welcome to the live text coverage of the second test day of the MotoGP 2026 season. After the first four rounds in Thailand, Brazil, Austin, Jerez, Le Mans and Barcelona, all teams will be able to test new solutions for the continuation of the championship with the main riders. The session will be held at the Montmelò in Barcelona, where the Catalan Grand Prix took place over the weekend.
As usual, testing will only take place today and the track will open at 10:00 and close at 18:00, with the usual break scheduled around 13:00.
Many absences, after the big scare yesterday with the incidents during the race. Marc Marquez (Ducati) will not be present, nor will Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini) and Johann Zarco (Honda LCR).
