What was cut
The usual post-race dialogue in the podium room uploaded as always on the official MotoGP website this time lasts just over a minute and the reason is very simple: Liberty Media and Dorna, in fact, cut the entire first part in which Fabio Di Giannantonio and Joan Mir debated some topics that the organization evidently preferred not to spread.
“Scary as hell” said Di Giannantonio regarding the Alex Marquez accident that involved him since he was hit by some debris from the Spanish rider’s Ducati that disintegrated. “Today even finishing last was fine with me“, added the VR46 rider.
The winner and Joan Mir later emphasized that every year in Barcelona the start is a risk because the group arrives too fast at the first corner. “We have to start further forward – said Mir – we have to reach the braking point at most in fourth gear because we are already fast, not at 300 km/h” with Di Giannantonio obviously agreeing with his colleague.
