30 points for Ferrari
Approaching the Spa-Francorchamps race, Ferrari had explained that they expected a rather complex weekend, due to the well-known difficulties with the power unit.
But after the 30 points collected on Sunday, thanks to Charles Leclerc’s 2nd place and Lewis Hamilton’s 4th, there is satisfaction in Maranello.
The VSC had put Leclerc ahead of Antonelli, but the Italian closed the gap and overtook the Monegasque: this Mercedes was too fast for Ferrari in Belgium.
On Lewis Hamilton’s side, disappointment for the 5-second penalty at the start of the race for the contact with Russell and disappointment for an overall not optimal weekend.
