Spectacular duel
Charles Leclerc was the absolute protagonist of the Belgian GP, bringing Ferrari to an unexpected second place finish on a track where power unit power limitations should have made the difference, and also providing some moments of genuine spectacle on track. One of these was the defense carried out by the Monegasque on the Kemmel straight against Oscar Piastri. An episode that was also investigated by the stewards but for which Leclerc was ultimately acquitted by the commissioners, who judged the space left by the Ferrari driver to McLaren #81 sufficient.

In the paddock, while the race highlights were being shown to the drivers, it was precisely the replay of the Leclerc-Piastri duel that sparked a funny skit with Max Verstappen, third classified under the checkered flag, who was impressed by the decision shown by Leclerc at that moment. The two cars even came into contact, but Leclerc held the wheel firmly and kept the position at a crucial moment of the race, leaving Piastri empty-handed.

Verstappen turned towards Leclerc a couple of times, looking at him with an almost shocked face – obviously jokingly – for what he had just seen on the screen and then joked: “It was all calculated, right?”. “Yes, yes”, replied the #16 of the red team, playing along. All this accompanied by the laughter of the Grand Prix winner, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, also impressed by the decision with which Leclerc resisted Piastri’s attack at that moment.
