Stellantis, record production of outfitted vehicles in Atessa

Stellantis Pro One celebrates an important industrial milestone at the Atessa plant, in Abruzzo. The CustomFit Center has in fact reached the production of 20,000 outfitted vehicles. A result that confirms the central role of the Abruzzo plant in the development and realization of customized solutions for European professional customers, transforming operational needs into concrete configurations, continuously realized throughout the entire production chain.

Stellantis sets record at Atessa

Reaching the milestone of 20,000 vehicles also testifies to the growing demand for tailor-made vehicles and, above all, Stellantis Pro One’s ability to integrate outfitting and customization directly into the industrial process, ensuring high standards in terms of quality, safety, and reliability. In this context, Atessa stands alongside the Gliwice plant in Poland. Together, these two sites represent the two European hubs dedicated to the production of large commercial vehicles. The recent milestone of 5,000 customized vehicles reached in Gliwice also highlights the rapid growth of CustomFit activities across the Group’s entire European industrial network.

Over 20,000 outfitted vehicles produced

Atessa stands out in particular for the variety of conversions carried out directly in the plant. Of the seven products currently converted within CustomFit, in fact, five are produced at Atessa, strengthening the plant’s leadership in offering tailor-made solutions. It should be noted that the CustomFit Center manages both conversions and customizations, ensuring full integration with the base vehicle and full compliance with OEM standards for quality, safety, and system compatibility, thus delivering vehicles already outfitted with manufacturer warranty and delivery times more than optimized.

And it doesn’t end here

Among the most recent innovations, the first orders stand out that combine conversion and customization in the same production process: the Cargo Box destined for Enterprise, with a cargo bed over 20 cubic meters, tail lift, dedicated rear locking system, and customized livery. Stellantis Pro One announces that the program will continue in the coming months with the introduction of a new version of the tipper cargo bed with rear discharge and double cab. Production start is scheduled for October, with order openings in the preceding weeks.
