McLaren, another leap in quality

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella, while appreciating Hamilton’s applause for the updates, wanted to clarify one aspect: the papaya team expected exactly this, relying on a top-class simulator-track correlation that allows them to always have effective updates.

“I would like to say that these updates gave us more than we expected, but the answer is no. What we measure in the data is in line with what we expected from the development tools. So I would say we are in line with our expectations“, this is the comment from the Umbrian engineer in Miami.

“On the contrary, the number of components we brought here is lower than Ferrari’s, and more will arrive in the next races“, he added. “But as for the results obtained with these components, they are basically in line with expectations“.
