Ferrari third at Spa
Ferrari managed to climb up to third place overall in the 6 Hours of Spa with the #50 – now sixth in the Drivers’ standings – while the #51 was taken out by an incredible crash in which Alessandro Pier Guidi was completely blameless.

BOP was undoubtedly a factor this weekend, the person in charge Antonello Coletta hopes it won’t be the case next weekend at Le Mans: “We are happy to have reached the podium after an unsatisfactory qualifying, but at the same time there is disappointment for losing car number 51 involved in an accident in which it was not at fault. The team’s strategy was impeccable, as also demonstrated by the climb of the number 83 AF Corse car, we have nothing to reproach ourselves for and now we hope to return to fighting for the top from qualifying and the first lap of the next race”.
“There is a bit of bitterness because we interpreted the strategy well knowing we were not the favorites – added technical director Ferdinando Cannizzo – thanks to consistency we managed to climb with all the cars, we had a bit of bad luck with the pit stop of number 50 and it is a shame for the accident that took out number 51. We collect important points for the championship, even if only with one car. Thanks and congratulations to the whole team who stayed focused despite the adversities, now we can look to Le Mans with optimism“.
