Aprilia, Martin will leave
In the long interview given to Mundo Deportivo, Massimo Rivola – CEO of Aprilia Racing – assured that Jorge Martin will be fully supported in his fight for the title, despite it being known that he has signed an agreement with Yamaha starting from 2027.
“A possible departure of his will absolutely not affect the fight for the world championship”, guaranteed the Italian manager, adding: “At the end of the year if both riders are fighting for the title, they will certainly have the same equipment available. But not only them, all four Aprilias (including the Trackhouse team, ed). We provide everyone with identical bikes, based on each rider’s preferences – who can choose one frame rather than another. Whoever wins with Aprilia is fine by us. The important thing is that Aprilia wins.”

Rivola and the profile of… Bagnaia
As is known, the wait for the official announcement of the MotoGP Concorde Pact is holding ‘hostage’ the announcements of the many rider changes in 2027. And in Aprilia, in place of Jorge Martin, will come – as has been said for some time – Pecco Bagnaia.
Massimo Rivola tried to dodge the question from Mundo Deportivo: “Let’s start from the premise that there is no first or second rider. What interests me about a rider is that he possesses a fundamental quality: the hunger for success. If he has hunger for success we start from a good base. And then that he knows how to work with the team and is not individualistic, a fundamental aspect.”
The journalist pointed out that Pecco Bagnaia fits this profile: “He could be… I like that you think that”, Rivola’s response.
In short, for the announcement of the two-time MotoGP world champion in Aprilia it is only a matter of time…
