Most 2026, Superpole Race: Bulega wins again ahead of Lecuona

Superpole Race the Italian way

Four Italian riders in the top five positions at the end of the Superpole Race, but the outcome of this race, at least concerning the top spots in the standings, remains unchanged: the winner, once again, was Nicolò Bulega, who since the start of this season has always stood on the top step of the podium. A victory, the 18th consecutive, enriched by the eleventh consecutive double for the Aruba.it-Ducati team thanks to the 2nd place of Iker Lecuona and the 3rd place of Yari Montella, for a podium identical to the one seen in Race 1.

Race report

The only ‘flaw’ in Bulega’s race was the start, with a wide line that allowed Lecuona to take the lead. However, this leadership lasted very little for the Spaniard, already overtaken by his teammate during the 2nd lap. From that moment on, #11 continued to extend his lead to defend his leadership, unlike Montella: although finishing in third position, the Campanian rider had to deal with the comeback of Lorenzo Baldassarri, who in the last laps reduced the gap to a tenth, but was unable to complete the attack.
