Aprilia’s performance at Jerez

The desire at Le Mans
A maneuver that brought the Japanese rider to 5th place overall, and which now reappears a year later at Le Mans for the French Grand Prix. A track where the two riders of the American team were not among the top six last season, in a race that was also held in wet conditions. The winner in that case was Fernandez, who arrives motivated after the latest results and the tests also carried out at Jerez: “I love the track! The crowd is fantastic and there is an incredible atmosphere – he commented – last year it was a very competitive race due to the wet conditions, and I want to improve my result: I hope the conditions are favorable and that I continue to feel comfortable on the bike after the Jerez tests. At the Le Mans circuit, I really like turns seven-eight, where you brake hard to face turn seven and then widen the line accelerating towards turn eight.”

A little-loved track
In 2025, Le Mans was a first experience for Ogura in MotoGP, 10th in his first race in the premier class in wet conditions: “I hope for a dry race! Not just the race, but a completely dry weekend: that is what I expect and desire. I am not a big fan of Le Mans. Probably my favorite section is turn one, very fast and at the same time really scary. It is still exciting, also for the fans, I imagine.”
