Maserati returns to the track in the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli 2026 at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, on the historic “Temple of Speed”. After two seasons as protagonists in the Am category, the Trident presents itself at the opening round with five GT2 cars lined up on the grid and with the debut of exclusive celebratory liveries. A tribute to a century of sporting history and the centenary of the logo, the Trident. The liveries will be available both for the Maserati GT2 competition cars and for the super sports GT2 Stradale, a choice that confirms an ideal link between racing imagery and product innovation.

The seasonal program is also enriched by the presence, for the second consecutive year, as official car supplier of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, where Maserati GT2 Stradale and MCPURA will respectively play the roles of Safety Car and Leading Car. A further piece of the path that Maserati pursues with a strategy that combines performance, innovation, and heritage, putting at the center the ability of its sports platform to transform into skills and solutions transferable also to the road. In this perspective, the commitment on the track becomes a continuous laboratory, where technique and style feed each other.
MCPURA also in the front row
The special liveries, born in collaboration with the Maserati Fuoriserie customization program, are protagonists in Monza with a world premiere inspired by the legendary Maserati 250F, symbol of the golden age of Formula 1. With Juan Manuel Fangio, the 250F won the world championships in 1954 and 1957 and collected memorable victories in Argentina, Belgium, Monaco, and France, while other great names, from Stirling Moss to Maria Teresa de Filippis, helped consolidate its myth. The project celebrates two important anniversaries: 100 years of the Maserati logo and 100 years since the debut of the Modena brand in competitions, recalling the Maserati Tipo 26 of 1926, the first car with the Trident on the hood, winning in its class at the Targa Florio.
