MotoGP, Marquez prepares for Misano
Marc Marquez arrives at Misano once again at the center of the fight for the World Championship. With the – predictably – triumphant weekend of the Aragón GP, where he scored 37 out of 37 points, the world champion has reduced the gap from the top of the standings and arrives at the circuit named after Marco Simoncelli knowing he has another important opportunity ahead to put pressure on Jorge Martin.
If in Spain there was no contest, Misano can give different indications. Here Martin will likely be more competitive, but Marquez has also built some important moments of his career in Romagna, having won here on Ducati in the last two years.
Marquez’s words
In the press conference, however, Marquez points to Marco Bezzecchi as the favorite for Misano: “Certainly for me it is not a track like Aragón, where I had the goal of scoring 37 points and I succeeded. We have to understand the potential of the Aprilias and their riders. Certainly Marco was very fast here all weekend last year and I will have to try to give my 100%“.

“Last year it was a really tough race, Marco pushed me to achieve my best performance with Ducati, we did fast laps throughout the race. He will be fast from FP1, I will try to be close to him. If you look at what happened in 2025, he can certainly be more competitive than me“, he added. “The key for these last races will be to try to be faster and faster. And to be faster you have to take risks: certainly at this moment some riders are more consistent, others instead have higher speed peaks“.
The challenge at Misano fits into a very balanced championship, where Aprilia can play two against one, counting not only on Martin but also on Bezzecchi. Marquez, however, can’t wait to be the spoiler again for the Noale factory.
