Leclerc towards Spa
The victory achieved at Silverstone has restored confidence to Charles Leclerc, but the Ferrari driver urges to keep feet on the ground ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix. The Monegasque explained that he has regained a feeling with the SF-26 that he had been missing for several races, but to understand if the British GP was not just an isolated case, Spa-Francorchamps will be needed, a track with similar characteristics.

Precisely because Spa will offer the same themes as Silverstone, with the difference that teams will have three free practice sessions to get ready, Leclerc continues to consider Mercedes the favorite on the Belgian track, recalling that even the performance shown by Ferrari in England surprised the Scuderia.
Leclerc’s words
“Silverstone and Spa are two tracks that suit Mercedes much more, so I believe they are still the favorites. However, at Silverstone it was also a surprise for us to be strong. But we were also lucky, because Kimi was as strong as we expected“, he commented in the press conference.

“Silverstone gave me a good feeling, I can’t hide that. I was struggling to find the feeling with the car and I managed to, now we have to reproduce these sensations on different tracks“, he added. “In these days I have tried to work to understand why we did much better than we expected at Silverstone. I understood why I felt more comfortable, in terms of overall performance I believe there are still some aspects we need to analyze more thoroughly, and more laps are needed“.
