Faster than its own presentation. The new Lamborghini Revuelto SV will be shown to the public for the first time on August 14 during The Quail. But in the meantime, it has set the new lap record for a production car at the Hockenheimring: with a time of 1:41.6, Lamborghini’s official test driver and racer Marco Mapelli brought the new super sports car from Sant’Agata Bolognese to become the fastest production car ever recorded on the German circuit.

Lamborghini Revuelto SV, record at Hockenheim
The choice of the German track was no coincidence. Lamborghini indeed considers the Hockenheimring an ideal setting, which has hosted (and in some cases still hosts) competitions such as Formula 1, DTM, and GT championships. In short, it is one of the most authoritative benchmarks for evaluating the dynamic capabilities of a car, both for professional drivers and gentleman drivers. High-speed sections, strong decelerations, and technical corners: a perfect mix that allows a comprehensive assessment of the car’s behavior in highly representative conditions.
Debut in one week
“The Revuelto SV represents an extraordinary expression of our vision of a Lamborghini super sports car,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini. And he concluded: “Every element of the car has been developed with the goal of taking performance to an even higher level, increasing the involvement and driving emotion that have always characterized our brand. The latest record is the result of this approach: it shows how innovation, technology, and engineering skills can translate into concrete and measurable results.”
