Marquez and Rossi, a (un)finished story
When talking about Marc Marquez and his long career in MotoGP, there is always a chapter, the one related to what happened with Valentino Rossi, that cyclically comes back.
This time it was the London newspaper The Paper, in an interview granted by the Spanish rider on the occasion of the British Grand Prix, to ask the nine-time world champion how the relations with the rival are.

Very straightforward was Marquez’s answer: “Finding a solution is impossible. Some things do not depend on just one person, it takes two. In my private life, I don’t need him and he doesn’t need me. But I respect what he has achieved. We both have given a lot to MotoGP and motorsport in general. However, we are two very different people“.
Marc and the chase for the tenth title
Many observers have noticed that Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi currently have the same number of world championships won, 7 in MotoGP, 1 in 250 (Moto2 for the Spaniard) and 1 in 125.
Marquez will have at least three more attempts available, physical condition permitting, despite being 33 years old, backed by a two-year contract with Ducati Lenovo that will end at the end of 2028.

“My contract says this, but I always explain the same thing: if my physical conditions allow it, I would like to continue“, Marquez emphasized, concluding: “I wouldn’t be the first nor the last athlete to end the career for health reasons anyway. It will happen sooner or later, because I have had many injuries and every year the pain increases. But at the moment I can manage it”.
