Max’s father lost control of the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2: the car overturned and suffered significant damage, but what matters most is that Verstappen and Vermeulen emerged unharmed from the impact.

Verstappen, a Formula 1 driver from 1994 to 2003, as is well known, focused heavily on an almost military sports education for Max. Once his son took off, proving to be one of the most talented and successful drivers ever, Jos returned to racing, winning the Belgian rally championship last year, alongside Renaud Jamoul.
