Hyundai has promised to launch 41 new or renewed models in Europe by the end of the decade. The offensive also involves the premium brand Genesis, confirming the Korean giant’s commitment to a market area that other Asian brands have begun to neglect due to Chinese competition. Several segments will be covered by the new models: Autocar reports that the launches will include, among others, a compact electric SUV specific to the European market, a mid-size electric crossover, and a series of commercial vehicles.

Hyundai and Genesis, what an offensive in Europe
Also thanks to this offensive, the company aims to sell almost four times more electric cars in Europe by 2030. The goal is to reach over 420,000 units per year, compared to 116,000 in 2025. Hyundai’s push towards electric vehicles will begin with the new IONIQ 3, produced in Europe, by the end of the year. It will be followed by a compact SUV specific to the European market. Among the new models with internal combustion engine, on the other hand, the new i20 stands out, based on a version of the recently presented Brazilian model. And then it will be the turn of a larger crossover destined to replace the compact SUV Tucson, the best-selling model in Europe. It is not to be excluded that the Korean brand may also decide to import the new extended-range electric version of the Santa Fe SUV. It will be produced in the USA and promises driving and acceleration like an electric vehicle.
41 new models by 2030
As for Genesis, globally it will launch next year a new extended-range electric model, which promises a range of over 1,030 km thanks also to a new high-performance battery. Also coming are a new hybrid version of the large GV80 SUV and the new luxury electric SUV GV90. The target markets have not yet been announced for these products, but Autocar is convinced that Europe will likely be a key destination for these new models.
