The nine-time world champion was able to recover many points and overtake Marco Bezzecchi also thanks to other riders who finished ahead of the official Aprilias. In Sunday’s GP Pedro Acosta surprised everyone by rising to second place, while in the Sprint Alex Marquez had secured a valuable second place, finishing fourth on Saturday still ahead of Martin.
Faced with Francesco Bagnaia’s crisis, Ducati Corse’s General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna emphasized the importance of Alex Marquez in the World Championship perspective: “Alex Márquez did an excellent job for his team and for Ducati as a whole.
