As expected, the Council of Ministers has approved the decree-law that extends the cut in excise duties on fuels until the end of April. The first decree-law, passed on March 18, was initially set to expire on April 7. High fuel prices, excise duty cut until the end of April
Meanwhile, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini is at work in these hours, also in view of the Easter long weekend, to mitigate fuel prices. The ministry made this known directly through a note, in which reference is made to a historic first initiative by motorway concessionaires. In practice, in the coming days, the latter will reduce the pump price by 5 euro cents per liter. In the coming days, oil companies will also be summoned again to avoid speculation resulting from unjustified increases in the price of petrol and diesel.
