Citroen, the electric revolution continues

Citroen continues to grow in the Italian market and recent data confirm a solid trend. According to Dataforce’s analysis, in the first five months of 2026, the French brand’s share stands at 3.8%, a value that drops to 3.6% in the private channel alone. These figures reflect increasing demand and an increasingly solid positioning, thanks to an offer capable of intercepting diverse and evolving needs.

Citroen and an electrification that doesn’t stop

Speaking of electrification, since the beginning of the year Citroen has recorded a 9.3% share in the BEV market, with a growth of 2.7 market share points in the month compared to May 2025. The performance in the private channel is also consistent, where the French brand ranks second overall in this first part of 2026, with a 9.3% share and an increase in May of 2.7 points compared to the same month in 2025. Supporting the company’s journey are not only its products but also the initiatives that tell new forms of mobility: Citroen also participated in the Giro‑E, an event parallel to the Giro d’Italia dedicated to e‑bikes, interpreting it as an ideal platform to promote more responsible, inclusive, and future-oriented mobility.

B segment in the spotlight

All this integrates with the role of the New C5 Aircross SUV, the first 100% electric Citroen flagship. The zero-emission range is completed thanks to options ranging from the AMI to commercial vehicles, with the C3 as a benchmark in the B segment (it is also the best-selling petrol model in its segment). The C3 Aircross SUV also performed well, on the podium among 100% electric B-SUVs since the beginning of the year and the second best-selling petrol model in its segment in the fifth month of the year. Meanwhile, the French brand also demonstrates its ability to meet professional needs: in the commercial vehicle sector, it reached a 5% share in May (+0.2 points) and in the January-May period, it reached 5.1% (+0.5).
