Brembo has announced a partnership with the Chinese group Ningbo Huaxiang Electronic (Nbhx), with the aim of localizing and distributing Sensify in China, the intelligent braking system that reached full production last May 4. The Sensify platform is proposed as an alternative to traditional solutions thanks to a state-of-the-art technological system: on one side the hardware, on the other a software component designed to offer levels adaptable to different application needs. The operation, moreover, is structured through a joint venture, representing a significant step to strengthen Brembo’s access to the Beijing market.

Brembo Sensify lands in China
The agreement represents a strategic move for the Bergamo group in the Chinese automotive sector, with longer-term implications on the industrial and technological level. In particular, the agreement would contribute to the development of new generation software-defined vehicle architectures, an increasingly central theme for manufacturers and component suppliers in the automotive technology ecosystem. Not by chance, CEO Daniele Schillaci defined the partnership as a “fundamental” step to integrate more deeply into the local ecosystem and to accelerate the localization of the company’s innovative solutions.
Agreement with Nbhx
The operation is still subject to regulatory approvals, an element that implies technical timing yet to be defined. On the market front, however, the reaction was positive: Brembo’s stock closed up 4.6%, at 10.86 euros. On Nbhx’s side, President Zhou Xiaofeng expressed satisfaction with the collaboration with Brembo, emphasizing the importance of the agreement to consolidate a common path towards the distribution of Sensify technology in the Chinese market.
