Recovery begins
The terrible fall of Alex Marquez that occurred in the last Catalonia Grand Prix had everyone worried about his condition, at least until the first statement from the Gresini team reported the marginal fracture of the C7 vertebra and the right clavicle. During this week, the Spanish rider underwent a successful surgical operation, but imagining his return for the Italian GP seemed extremely difficult, if not impossible.
No Mugello and Balaton
The official confirmation of his absence, in fact, came from a post published on social media by the Gresini team, and this not only for the race to be held at Mugello next weekend, but also for the one at the Balaton Park circuit, where the Hungarian GP will take place on June 7: “Alex Marquez will miss the Mugello and Balaton Grands Prix”.

A very brief statement, in which a smiling Marquez is seen just days after an accident that could have had much more serious consequences. The team did not add further information on the recovery times, nor who will be the rider to replace him for the next two events.
