Two races, two retirements
Quite a frustrating weekend for Audi in Miami, which after the last two GPs in China and Japan failed to score points with both of its drivers. Among them, the real nightmare weekend was that of Nico Hülkenberg, forced to end his Sprint race early and the following Sunday race, both due to technical problems.

A weekend to forget
Nothing to do then for the German, who with a brief comment wanted to sum up his disappointment while waiting for the next Canadian GP, scheduled from May 22 to 24: “Obviously this is not how we wanted to end the weekend. We had a technical problem and were forced to retire, which is frustrating because the goal is always to fight until the end. Overall, it was a challenging weekend. We will reorganize, understand what happened, and keep working hard. Perseverance is key: this effort will pay off and that is what we will focus on in the future.”

Close to the points zone
Not exempt from disappointments was also his teammate Gabriel Bortoleto. Disqualified at the end of the Sprint for a technical irregularity, the Brazilian started from the second to last place on the grid after other problems suffered in qualifying, in this case at the rear and with a small fire. In the race, the 21-year-old was the protagonist of a good comeback, but finished outside the points zone with a 12th place final result: “I think I had the pace to fight for points, but when you start last there’s not much you can do. I managed to climb up the standings, there were good pace and good maneuvers, but I didn’t have enough time to overtake. Considering I started last and finished twelfth, I think it was a solid result. I’m really proud of the team and the work they did to get the car on track yesterday, and we will keep going like this.”
