Goal achieved for Marco Bezzecchi, who goes directly to Q2 at Montmeló unlike his teammate Jorge Martin. The World Championship leader finishes the Barcelona Practice with the seventh best time, settling for a placement ahead of tomorrow.

“I feel quite good on race pace, while in the time attack I expected to do a bit more. It is true that we are all really close (the top-5 is within 79 thousandths, the top-10 in less than three tenths, ed), but surely there is room for improvement especially in T2, where I was much slower, even in my good lap. On race pace I might be slightly more competitive compared to the time attack“, he added. About his rivals for Saturday and Sunday the Romagna rider did not commit: “I have to watch the others, but surely Acosta, Marquez and Di Giannantonio always seemed right up front. Jorge, starting from Q1, is perhaps a bit more in difficulty at the moment, but this morning he was flying“.
