Superbike Hungary, the Race-2 report
Nicolò Bulega continues to make history in Superbike. The Ducati rider also wins Race-2 of the round in Hungary and becomes the first rider able to win all the first 12 seasonal races in production-based motorcycles. On the Balaton Park track, Bulega wins with authority, finishing about two and a half seconds ahead of teammate Iker Lecuona, while Yari Montella returns to the podium with a solid third place.

Starting from pole position, Bulega leads from the first corners: only initially, Lecuona shows aggression and desire to pressure the championship leader. However, he increases the pace around mid-race and progressively extends the margin, then just managing it until the checkered flag. For #11 this is the 16th consecutive victory, including the last four of the 2025 World Championship, while Lecuona is at his ninth second place in a row.

Off the podium is Lorenzo Baldassarri, who finishes ahead of Garrett Gerloff and Sam Lowes. Completing the top 10 are Tarran Mackenzie, Remy Gardner, and Stefano Manzi, separated by minimal gaps. Outside the top ten, Alvaro Bautista suffers a long lap penalty in the final stages, Andrea Locatelli crashed in turn 17 (he also had a visit to the medical center), technical problems on the third lap for Axel Bassani. A disastrous day also for BMW, between Miguel Oliveira’s frightening accident in the Superpole Race (concussion from the impact with the wheel on the helmet and broken left shoulder for the Portuguese rider), and a contusion to the left hip for Danilo Petrucci: both end their weekend early and do not take part in Race-2.
