Sainz against Verstappen
The start of the Miami GP was full of emotions, largely provided by Max Verstappen. The Dutchman tried to close in turn-1 in the lead, but spun in a 180 in the next change of direction: to avoid being swallowed by the middle of the pack, the Red Bull driver raised the level of aggression, executing very decisive maneuvers against Liam Lawson and Carlos Sainz.

The Spaniard, overtaken out of pure anger at the end of the braking zone of the third sector, harshly criticized Verstappen’s maneuver, which in his opinion risked sending him into the wall.

“He pushed me out. He thinks he can do whatever he wants just because he’s racing in the middle of the pack“, this was the comment from the former Ferrari driver.

Verstappen, finally, got the better of both Sainz and Alexander Albon, who tried to take advantage of the fight between the two to gain eighth place. The Dutchman then stopped at the pits during the Safety Car period called out for the incidents involving Isack Hadjar and Pierre Gasly to try the joker in a race that otherwise risks being compromised.
