Very precious podium for Pecco
If Ducati avoided the shame of another Aprilia hat-trick as already happened at Le Mans, this time at home at Mugello, the credit goes to Francesco Bagnaia. The Italian rider finished in third place, leading the race for the entire first half before the now chronic drop in the rear tire occurred.

Ai Ogura attacked Bagnaia at the last corner, Bucine, at the end of a remarkable comeback in which he recovered two seconds in the last two laps. Pecco managed to cross and then with engine power resisted until the finish line.
For Bagnaia, it is the second consecutive podium, but this one compared to the one in Barcelona has a completely different flavor: “I believed in it from the start, luckily we managed to make a big step forward in the morning with the starts – Bagnaia explained to the microphones of Sky – from the start the goal was to get ahead to set the pace and manage the situation, then the tire dropped and when Bezzecchi passed me I had two options, try to stay with him finishing the tire definitively or try to save something for the end and so I managed to defend the podium”.
