Acosta, who fights with Marquez
Pedro Acosta was once again the protagonist of a very positive weekend, in which he got the most out of an extremely struggling KTM. At Mugello, the RC16 paid too much for the difference in top speed on the straight, and in cornering it could not recover the gap. Only the great quality of the Tiburón in braking allowed #37 to battle for the top-5, but Ai Ogura and Fabio Di Giannantonio ultimately outsmarted the Spaniard, who finished the Italian GP in sixth place.

Beautiful, however, was the fight between Acosta and Marc Marquez: also due to #93’s physical problems, the KTM rider prevailed, who conceded the honor of arms to the future teammate at Ducati.
Acosta’s words
“I had a lot of fun, I hope the audience at home enjoyed it too. It was the toughest fight I’ve had in MotoGP,” this was Acosta’s comment to Sky Sport MotoGP. “In those moments I lost a bit of time with Marc and Aldeguer, but I don’t think I had the pace to go faster.”

“We don’t know why, but this weekend we really struggled. It also happened on Austin Saturday and the Goiânia weekend. We have to analyze all the data with KTM and see how we can improve, because we really struggled a lot.”
