Stellantis has presented STLA One, a global modular architecture designed to make vehicle development simpler and more scalable. The modular platform by Design supports different types of powertrains and allows covering multiple segments with a common design approach. The group’s goal is to reach over 2 million units by 2035. STLA One will be launched in 2027 and is created to unite five platforms into a single architecture, thus reducing operational complexity and expanding coverage, with a focus on segments B, C, and D.

Stellantis presents STLA One
One of the key elements of the project concerns industrial benefits. STLA One aims at 20% cost efficiency, thanks to intrinsic modularity and the possibility to choose among different battery options. Moreover, the platform is designed to integrate from the start an advanced suite of technologies: STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit, and steer-by-wire technology. In this way, Stellantis aims to create a technological base “ready to evolve,” capable of hosting next-generation solutions without starting from scratch each time.
Efficient mega-platform
Finally, STLA One is designed as a true mega-platform oriented towards growth. The ambition is to support over 30 models and more generally exceed 2 million units by 2035. The roadmap also includes an intermediate milestone: by 2030, Stellantis aims for 50% of volumes on three global platforms, with component reuse up to 70%, thus maximizing economies of scale and production consistency throughout the entire lifecycle of new vehicles.
