MotoGP France, the Practice Report

It is a day of surprises at Le Mans. After Luca Marini’s best time in FP1, Honda confirms itself also in Practice with the home rider Johann Zarco: 1:29.907 is the time of the rider from Lucio Cecchinello’s team, who beats Fabio Di Giannantonio by 10 thousandths. The Frenchman, listed among the favorites in case of rain (very likely tomorrow and Sunday), thus proves to be competitive also on dry. After all, it is a track where he knows how to excel, and the 2025 victory confirms it.

Very good also #49, who after the outburst regarding the official rider status for 2027 follows up with actions. Today too, the Roman is the best Ducati rider, ahead by a tenth of the Bagnaia-Marquez duo, who finish with the same time. But beware, this is the younger Marquez: Marc shockingly ends up in Q1 while even those not used to it, like Joan Mir and Alex Rins, get the pass to Q2. He is tricked by a crash at the end by Bagnaia, which causes a yellow flag regime just as the teammate tries the last time attack.

Qualification obtained with relative ease also for the Aprilias of Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin, also in are Ai Ogura and Pedro Acosta. The Top-10, in any case, is super competitive and packed within less than three tenths: if Marquez passes Q1 and joins the party, the fight for pole will be very tight.
