Marquez in Q1, but he does not look for excuses

The nine-time world champion finishes 13th, being outdone in the last time attack by teammate Francesco Bagnaia, who fell in the first sector right in front of him. However, the Spaniard does not look for excuses (he has not yet fully recovered 100% after the fall in Indonesia last year) and will try from FP2 onwards to get back in shape to return to the front.

“From the beginning we suffered a bit, but we try to work during the weekend. We couldn’t be faster today, we have to keep pushing a little more. The bike is quite okay, it can be ridden well and this is the most important aspect. I have to understand how to do it myself“, this was the comment to Sky Sport MotoGP. “Physically we are working, this year I have suffered a bit more compared to 2025, but I knew it would be tough after Indonesia. I am trying to get back close to the level I had 12 months ago“.
