In the Prologue the 499P made a triple win, but the technical director Ferdinando Cannizzo emphasized that it is difficult to draw reliable indications from Tuesday’s day: “In the Prologue we completed an intense and productive work program, gathering important data on the behavior of the 499P in different conditions, both on a single lap and in long runs, and verifying the reliability and operational procedures of the team. The variable weather conditions, with sessions held in rain and wet asphalt, allowed us to evaluate the behavior also with wet tires, offering valuable indications in race-representative conditions. At the end of the two long test sessions we are satisfied with the work done. It is instead difficult to draw reliable indications about the opponents. We know well that the level of the FIA WEC is extremely competitive and that the journey has just begun, but we face the season with determination, awareness and great desire to continue growing race after race.”
