GWM has announced the start of its commercial activities in Italy through the establishment of a local branch, with the aim of consolidating its presence in Europe. Vehicle sales on the Italian market will begin in June this year, in continuity with the brand’s strategy, aimed at being present “on every terrain, with every type of propulsion and for every type of user.” The Chinese company in Italy will operate as a direct branch, accompanied by a network of official dealers that will become operational starting next summer.

GWM lands in Italy
The plan includes certified technical training, a complete after-sales service, and a logistics system dedicated to spare parts, with central warehouses both in Italy and Europe. In this way, the Chinese company aims to ensure fast and reliable delivery of components, strengthening the customer experience throughout the ownership cycle. Vehicles will also be covered by a warranty of up to 7 years or 150,000 km, with an approach focused on an advanced customer service, intelligent connectivity, and contemporary design.

Starting with the new ORA 5
The entry into the Italian market is part of GWM’s broader European expansion plan as a strategic area. The brand aims to become a benchmark for advanced, efficient, and sustainable mobility, supported by a solid distribution network and a long-term commitment to customers. GWM is indeed one of the main independent manufacturers in China and is also the leading national producer of SUVs and pick-ups, with 1.32 million units sold last year. Furthermore, it operates in over 170 markets worldwide, manages 13 plants in China, Thailand, and Brazil, and has a European design center in Germany. In Italy, the range will be introduced starting with the GWM ORA 5 model, a compact SUV, planned as the first vehicle to be marketed.
