Hyundai introduces Online Map Downloads

Hyundai introduces the new feature Online Map Downloads, available on all models equipped with ccNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit). The system ensures significantly faster availability of updated navigation data, including new roads, traffic changes, and local speed limit updates, thanks to monthly download cycles and automatic delivery of Over-the-Air (OTA) data packages. The update occurs without any driver intervention, keeping the vehicle’s navigation system always up-to-date and ready for use.

Hyundai introduces Online Map Downloads

Compared to traditional updates, which were released at longer intervals as part of larger software packages, Online Map Downloads takes a more advanced approach. While the vehicle is in motion, the system downloads in the background only the map sections relevant to the user’s travels, making them available immediately upon the next vehicle restart. This silent and selective mechanism reduces update sizes while accelerating information distribution, improving navigation accuracy and contributing to a safer and more comfortable drive.
