How far can the new Skoda Peaq, a seven-seat electric SUV, travel on a single charge of its 91 kWh battery? This question was asked by two employees of the Czech company, Marek Jež and Jakub KrsPer. And they also tried to find an answer. How? They started from Mladá Boleslav heading to the Netherlands. And the result is clear: the series Skoda Peaq they drove covered 936 kilometers without needing to recharge.
Skoda Peaq, what range
The record attempt, Skoda itself reports, took place under the supervision of the certification body TÜV SÜD. Remember that the new Peaq 90 has on paper a WLTP homologated range of up to 647 km, calculated based on the full range of driving conditions provided by the regulation. The record range of 936 km achieved by this version of the seven-seat electric SUV thus exceeded this value by 289 km, or almost 45%. The 91 kWh traction battery (86 kWh net) is paired with a 210 kW motor, rear-wheel drive, and 19″ wheels with standard low rolling resistance tires.
Advanced aerodynamics
The Peaq range also stands out for carefully optimized aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient (Cx) of 0.249. The expedition started from the company headquarters in Mladá Boleslav at noon on Tuesday, August 25. Crossing Germany and taking breaks for driver changes, rest, and meals, the crew reached the Netherlands in the early hours of Wednesday, then completed the journey in the afternoon at the seaside resort of Zandvoort. As mentioned, without ever recharging the traction battery, the vehicle covered 936 km with an average energy consumption of just 9.2 kWh/100 km.

But in reality…
“The goal was to demonstrate what technology can achieve when pushed to the limit – the two protagonists reported – To maximize range, we chose the most suitable route and naturally adapted our driving style accordingly. In everyday use, it is unlikely that customers will drive the car this way. Rather, they will take advantage of everything this SUV has to offer in terms of driving dynamics, onboard infotainment, and comfort“.
