The Colombian expects a quick comeback from the Ferrari driver
F1 is ready to debut on the Madrid circuit, defined by Carlos Sainz as a combination of those in Baku, Jeddah, and Singapore. Today in the first free practice sessions we will have the first answers about the values on track, although the evolution of the track and the adaptation of teams and drivers will nullify any verdict until the last laps of Q3.
Juan Pablo Montoya still expects a great performance from the World Championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli and does not rule out a quick comeback from Charles Leclerc who could take advantage of his affinity with street circuits.

The Spanish GP will be the second in which Ferrari will race with the ADUO-2 power unit which could finally prove decisive on a track not only about power: “I don’t know if Ferrari was using too much power in the free practice in Italy appearing so competitive, or if they were testing the new engine to see how it behaved with more power – added Montoya – I think Red Bull has a really powerful engine, but evidently the RB22 has more drag compared to the Mercedes.”
