The Ford Mustang range could soon expand with the new Mach 4. It will not be a true muscle car, but not a crossover either. Rather, it will be a four-door sedan, which in lines and dimensions could resemble the Porsche Panamera. This was reported by Carscoops, citing some details revealed during a private meeting with dealers in Las Vegas, during which the Blue Oval car manufacturer unveiled the first physical prototype of the new model.

Ford prepares the Mustang Mach 4
Those present at the event stated that the American company plans an entry price below 40,000 dollars and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds. As for the engine, the new Mustang Mach 4 should be equipped with hybrid propulsion, specifically a hybrid V8, although the specifications are not yet known. Such a configuration would allow Ford to comply with increasingly stringent emission regulations, while maintaining the distinctive character of a muscle car, rather than opting for a fully electric system like that of the Mach-E.

And that’s not all. Because from the information circulating, the new car will use an extended version of the current Mustang’s chassis, a choice that would allow the company to reduce research and development costs and enable it to use components it already knows well. The new Ford Mustang Mach 4 should hit the roads towards the end of the decade. Translated: in the coming weeks the Blue Oval company will surely release new details.
