MotoGP Thailand, Yamaha is just a bit player

“There are always expectations and hopes, but then there is reality. We know that this is a complex project, it is a technical revolution, so we must accept the response of the race, which tells us where we are“, he commented to Sky Sport MotoGP. “We have a mountain ahead of us, a very steep 30-second hill that we will have to climb one little piece at a time. The four riders gave 110% this weekend, just as everyone at Yamaha is giving and will continue to give 110%. We know that if we hadn’t tried, we wouldn’t have arrived ready in 2027. This doesn’t mean we think of 2026 only as a year of development on the track, but that we accept our current situation and know that in every race we will learn something“.

However, there is one thing that Pavesio doesn’t like. And it’s the often critical comments from Fabio Quartararo, who clearly feels he has lost too much time at Yamaha: “In my opinion, it is correct to say things to each other’s faces when working, but it must be understood that at certain times the team must be protected. I am here to put my face on the line for the work I do in the company, to thank my riders because they gave everything on the track and to say that we are here to work and improve“.
