The overtaking signed by Audi
It has been since the eighth place obtained by Alex Albon in Monte Carlo that Williams has not scored any points in the standings with its drivers, and the strong crisis moment of the historic Grove team has inevitably had a repercussion in the Constructors’ Championship. Precisely in the last Hungarian GP, the British team lost the eighth position to Audi, which on the contrary has been present in the top 10 in the last three GPs with Bortoleto or Hulkenberg.

The Sainz-Piastri case
A very complex period, to which are added the controversies that arose after the Budapest race regarding what happened between Carlos Sainz and Oscar Piastri. The Australian McLaren driver, in an attempt to lap the Spaniard, actually came into contact with the latter, who did not give him space. The former Ferrari driver, penalized by five seconds, explained his version of the facts, the same one that however sparked much controversy.

All the weaknesses
A very complex championship so far for Williams and for Albon, 17th at the end of a weekend that started with little hope: “It was a difficult weekend for us, a real battle. We knew the track would not favor us and would highlight our weaknesses. We had balance problems throughout the weekend and today we were very influenced by the wind, with understeer and lack of consistency. I struggled to find the rhythm with the changing wind and gusts. We know what we need to fix and I believe the work being done at the factory is the biggest team effort I have ever seen to tackle these problems. I believe we are doing the right things to get back on track, it’s just a shame to be in this situation. I hope we can rest well as a team and come back stronger after the summer break.”
